Brock Lesnar is still the Universal Champion and he’s slated to face newly-crowned WWE Champion Daniel Bryan at Survivor Series this Sunday. But Lesnar’s next title defense might be a little unclear at this point. Even though we have an idea, it’s never a great idea to speculate with Brock Lesnar because he does whatever he wants.
One thing we know for sure is that Brock Lesnar will not be working the TLC pay-per-view in San Jose next month. Therefore, we will likely start another new year with Brock Lesnar as Universal Champion.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that an angle between Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar seems to be The Beast Incarnate’s next program. Strowman is occupied with Baron Corbin at TLC in a match that he will get to decide if Raw wins their men’s elimination match at Survivor Series, therefore The Royal Rumble seems to be the next obvious location.
It was noted that since Lesnar is not scheduled for the December 16th TLC pay-per-view and Strowman cut a promo on Brock during Raw this week then it looks like those two will battle. It was said that they were not directly told it would happen at the Royal Rumble but as we previously reported, WWE has told Meltzer that Braun Strowman’s direction for WrestleMania doesn’t include a Universal Title shot.
