WWE had a very interesting storyline going on about a year ago which resulted in Jason Jordan being revealed as Kurt Angle’s long-lost son from a previous college fling. But the WWE Universe was slow to accept it. They never saw time for this match to reach its planned WrestleMania conclusion either as Jordan was taken out of action due to a neck injury.
The former American Alpha member had surgery, but he has yet to make an in-ring return. Apparently, things were more complicated than first thought. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Jason is still having trouble with his grip which is never a good sign, especially after a corrective neck surgery.
But Jason Jordan posted a picture of himself at the beach with good news to report that he’s remaining hopeful that a WWE return could be around the corner.
“I’m ready to attack this week and make huge improvements! I’ve been trying to keep my eye on the prize and look at the big picture. I’m still on the road to recovery and I’m very optimistic about getting back to where I belong!”
After spending so many years at the WWE Performance Center and only a small amount of time on the main roster, Jordan does belong in WWE. But at this time, maybe his services are most needed in a backstage capacity as he has been doing recently. Hopefully, we will see him wrestle once again very soon. But he needs to make sure that everything is in line before he returns. After all, the pro wrestling ring can be a very unforgiving place, especially if you have an injury walking in.
