Matt Hardy gave his body to the pro wrestling business for decades and racked up more title runs than you can really count without having to do a lot of research. But since his last Raw Tag Team Title run closed up, he has taken on a backstage role in WWE due to injury.
We previously reported that Hardy was dealing with some rather unfortunate injuries due to all the years of punishment in the ring and all of those top rope leg drops. But now it looks like he’s getting another chance to do something equally cool.
Hardy will drive the pace car for the Can-Am 500 this weekend at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This will be the first time Matt has received this honor and Hardy is super excited to get buckled into the Toyota Camry Official Pace Car.
“Being part of Opening Weekend for the new ISM Raceway is such an exciting experience, and I’m honored to race around the track with some of the best in the sport to kick off the Can-Am 500.”
Hardy made a career turning his adrenaline into dollars so racing might be right up his alley. If anything, it will be a really cool experience for the House Hardy to invade a race track.
