Drew McIntyre has been on a roll since coming back to WWE and at this point, it seems like he’s destined for a top spot in the company. After his WWE release in 2014, he traveled the planet and made an even bigger name for himself and then he returned to WWE with a brand new mindset and mission.
Planeta Wrestling recently spoke to Drew McIntyre in Barcelona where he said that the last time he was there he was with 3MB, but he’s on a much bigger spot on the card at this point and has his target set for Brock Lesnar’s title.

“Yeah, I mean during my time away from the company I won titles in every company around the world there really is. It was time to come back home. I wanted to start in NXT, I became NXT Champion. I got injured, re-debuted with Dolph, we became Tag Team Champions. He’s been Intercontinental Champion and like I said last week on Raw I’ll be watching Brock Lesnar vs Braun Strowman very closely. Whoever wins, that’s my target. Brock Lesnar won so now he’s my target.”

It might only be a matter of time before Drew McIntyre is placed in a position to carry home the biggest singles title on Raw.
Drew did just win a huge match over Kurt Angle that was said to have the same idea behind it as when Brock Lesnar defeated Hulk Hogan in 2002. Therefore, only time will tell when McIntyre will get a shot at the very top of the roster — but it looks like that time is coming sooner than later.
