Kevin Owens really hasn’t been around WWE all that long but he’s been able to do a lot during his short time as part of the main roster already. After being shot straight into a program with John Cena, that made him a huge Superstar to be dealt with. But his face-to-face with Vince McMahon is on the top of his list.
Owens recently spoke to Inside The Ropes about his famous headbutt segment with Vince McMahon that left the WWE CEO bloody on the mat. He wondered if the rest of his career will be able to top that accomplishment — but he certainly hopes that isn’t the case.

“It was really surreal it was something I don’t know if I’ll ever reach that kind of moment again. You know sometimes I wonder I’ve been here for 3 years and I’ve done so much I’ve done so many incredible things that moment with Vince being the perennial of it — that and the Universal Title. Sometimes I wonder if this is as good as it gets for me — I hope not. I don’t plan on it being that way but man, that’s gonna be hard to top.”

Owens also addressed the age-old stories where McMahon tells people not to take it easy on him. Of course, he didn’t reveal anything that Vince said — but it sounds like he had that headbutt coming.

“I mean if you heard the kind of language he used before he took that headbutt it didn’t seem like he wanted me to take it easy on him, I’d say that’s true.”

Only time will tell how Owens’ career will be able to bounce back after he returns from dual knee surgeries. But hopefully, as a plausible babyface, he will be able to reach that “Stone Cold” status where he can keep doing whatever he wants and people will love him anyway. At least, that’s the dream for Owens as a life-long fan of WWE.
