Shane McMahon left the entire WWE Universe scratching their heads when he won the World Cup Tournament at WWE Crown Jewel and became The Best In The World. But apparently, that was all the plan from the beginning.
Now with WrestleMania in sight, it seems like that a heel turn fro Shane-O is going to be in the cards sooner or later. As Joe Peisich said on Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast, WWE has some very special plans for the current Commissioner of SmackDown Live.
“They’re going to play this up bigtime here with Shane McMahon with the Best In The World. Shane McMahon from what I hear will have a huge, huge fight at WrestleMania — not against Baron Corbin.”
Only time will tell who WWE ends up placing against Shane McMahon at next year’s WrestleMania — but it won’t be Baron Corbin. But if you ask us, with him going around saying that he’s the “Best In The World,” that only opens the door for one match we’d like to see. The only problem is the impossibility of getting CM Punk to make a WWE return.
Still, WWE reportedly does have plans for McMahon at WrestleMania so we’ll just have wait and see what they’re able to pull off.
