WWE is always looking ahead of the game and they probably had a good idea of what WrestleMania is going to look like next year. Roman Reigns’ announcement that he is taking a hiatus because his leukemia is back shook everything up but the big WrestleMania women’s match looks to have stayed the same.
Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair is slated to take place at WrestleMania and at this point, it appears to be the frontrunner to headline the event. There’s a lot of groundwork you need to lay in order to make that feud happen though, but Giancarlo Aulino of Barnburner reports that WWE has a plan of action in order to make this match happen already.
Flair is slated to win the Women’s Royal Rumble next year and then jump brands to challenge Rousey. If you remember correctly, this is exactly what Asuka did to Flair last year and then Charlotte broke Asuka’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania 34.
Only time will tell if Flair jumping brands next year has the same outcome Asuka experienced when she did the same this year, but if Rousey remains Raw Women’s Champion then it’s likely she’ll also be working on her own undefeated streak in WWE.
