WWE Crown Jewel is going down in the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia this Friday at noon on the WWE Network in the face of a ton of controversy surrounding the event. We previously reported that Hulk Hogan’s name popped up on the WWE Crown Jewel listing on WWE’s official website — but apparently that might have been premature.
Throughout their history, WWE has prided themselves on big surprise moments and seeing the biggest name in pro wrestling in the past 30 years walk out would even make the Saudi Arabian crowd pop huge. So for whatever reason, Hulk Hogan’s name was quietly added to WWE Crown Jewel and once people noticed they took it right off.
But this is no means a sign that Hogan won’t be there. In fact, as Dave Meltzer said, “they had talked with him for some time about it.” He went on to say that an announcement of Hogan’s WWE Crown Jewel appearance would have been announced on Monday — but it just didn’t happen.
So as you can see from the images below, Hogan is no longer listed as a Superstar promoted for the WWE Crown Jewel event — but he is still expected.
The Hulkster was even more than happy about revealing how excited he was to be going to Saudi Arabia for WWE Crown Jewel in a recent interview as well. So the cat might be out of the bag.
But in the meantime, it looks like WWE will keep Hogan’s name off of the list and we’ll just all have to act really surprised when The Hulkster shows up.
