John Cena might not be going WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, but he said that he’ll be watching WWE Evolution “as a fan.” He’s witnessed WWE change in the time he’s been a part of the company and the 16x Champ issued a pretty great message for the women’s roster before the WWE Evolution pay-per-view kicks off.
Cena tweeted out an Evolution promo video along with a message saying: “Tonight is a special night not only for women in WWE but every person who’s ever been a fan of our industry. Congratulations to all participating, I’m excited to watch tonight as a fan.”
Of course, we’re sure he will be paying extra close attention to the main event when his ex Nikki Bella will try to capture Ronda Rousey’s Raw Women’s Title. The match is expected to be given a little bit more time than some initially thought — and there could be gimmicks too — therefore, who knows if a heel Nikki Bella will be able to knock Rousey off of her throne. If it’s going to happen, it might as well be during an event nobody will forget and make it even more historic by giving Rousey her first L in WWE.
Only time will tell how WWE Evolution shapes up, but even if you’re rooting for the women to fail, that just gives them even more motivation. But if you ask John Cena, he might now answer because he could be glued to his television just like any other life-long fan of WWE.
