WWE has officially confirmed that Saudi Arabia will remain the host of WWE Crown Jewel, which is set to air on the WWE Network next Friday.
With that said, RAW Superstars Alexa Bliss and Natalya had the opportunity to speak with TampaBay.com, where they both provided their opinions on WWE returning to Saudi Arabia, where the female Superstars are not welcome.
Natalya explained that the culture can’t be changed overnight, but WWE is taking positive steps. She believes women will eventually be able to wrestle there.
“You’re not going to change a culture overnight. I think WWE is taking such positive steps in doing positive things over in Saudi Arabia. One day, I believe that we will be over there.”
Bliss agreed with this sentiment, claiming it isn’t out of reach and believes it can’t be declared impossible.
“I don’t feel like it’s out of reach. Who knows? I don’t think it’s ever not a possibility.”
Bliss also addressed the reception she and Sasha Banks got last year when they wrestled in the United Arab Emirates last year.
“The welcome was so warm. They were up-to-date with women’s storylines. There were little girls crying in happiness. It was just so cool because we got to have that moment with them.”
“It’s not just a women’s evolution in WWE. It’s an evolution all over the world.”
