According to PWInsider, WWE Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze aka Madusa is set to appear at the WWE Evolution pay per view later this month.
WWE has been stacking the deck with big names, both past and present, in order to make Evolution feel as big as it possibly can. Blayze certainly falls into that category, with many viewing her as a trailblazer both in the WWE and World Championship Wrestling.
While WWE hasn’t publically announced her addition to the show, as well as Ivory and Molly Holly, it does appear to be all but confirmed that the three women will be honoured in some way, shape or form in Long Island.
Blayze was already a big name before she made the switch over to WCW, but arguably her career defining moment came when she dropped the WWF Women’s Championship into a trash can on WCW television.
It was a move that signalled just how serious the Monday Night Wars were going to be, and it kickstarted Blayze’s rise to becoming one of the most notable female stars in the history of the business.
Many will be hoping that Alundra steps back inside the squared circle for one more match, and while that’s always a possibility, it seems equally as likely that she’ll be involved in some kind of segment that celebrates some of the biggest and best names from throughout the history of women’s wrestling.
Evolution is set to go down at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on October 28th.
