WWE Responds To Superstars Not Wanting To Participate In Crown Jewel Event

Crown Jewel is set to take place in Saudi Arabia — even though they didn’t mention it on Raw once! But the show is still on as is the reunion of DX as they face the Brothers Of Destruction.
We previously reported via an SI article that some undisclosed WWE Superstars are uneasy about doing the event in Saudi Arabia. This is due to many recent events surrounding the alleged murder of a Washington Post reported even though Saudi authorities are now saying he died during a botched interrogation.
Wrestling Inc reports that WWE has responded to a question about how they feel about their Superstars’ displeasure of going to the Crown Jewel event, it is a pretty generic response much in the line of what we have heard before as WWE assured once again that they are monitoring the situation.

“As always, we maintain an open line of communication with our performers, as we continue to monitor the situation.”

We will just have to wait and see what happens in this situation but we will certainly keep you updated as we hear anything new. But at this time the Crown Jewel event is still a go, even if some Superstars might not really want to go.
