Nia Jax has responded to a fan who questioned when she will next compete for the Raw Women’s Championship.
Jax, who has had an inconsistent run on the main roster, won the title back at WrestleMania 34 when she defeated friend turned rival Alexa Bliss. She held the belt for a few months before losing it back to Bliss at Money in the Bank, after a thoroughly entertaining match against Ronda Rousey who currently holds the belt.
While Nia has still popped up on WWE television from time to time since then, it feels like she’s been fairly absent from proceedings for the most part – although it’s clear to see that she doesn’t want that to be the case for much longer.
Nia also reassured her fans that her arm injury wasn’t too serious, in the wake of her match against Ember Moon on Raw last night.
With Evolution being right around the corner it would make sense to see Jax being given a sustained push back towards the top of the Raw women’s division, but for whatever reason, it doesn’t seem like that’s the direction WWE wants to go in right now.
Either way there’s a case to be made that she should be receiving a championship shot sooner rather than later, if only so that we can see another instalment of her rivalry with Ronda Rousey – because that first match certainly showcased to the world what both women were capable of.
Evolution is scheduled to take place on October 28th.
