The WWE Women’s Revolution is in full-swing and WWE Evolution will be a big night for the company, especially the female wrestlers on the roster. NXT, Raw, and SmackDown Superstars will wrestle at the first-ever all female pay-per-view event but Paige will be watching from the sidelines as SmackDown General Manager.
Who knows what will happen once the movie WWE Studios and The Rock’s production company puts out the Fighting With My Family movie about Paige’s family? But until then she is enjoying herself in a role of authority.
She spoke to Lilian Garcia on Chasing Glory and Paige revealed how heartbreaking it is to have to watch as other women enjoy the opportunities this time in WWE is providing for them.
“It is actually really sad obviously because naturally, I love wrestling. Wrestling has been in my blood my entire life. So it does make me really sad. But at the same time I can’t help but be happy for everybody because I still get to be a part of it.”
“Whether I’ll be on commentary or doing the GM stuff, I get to watch it and know that it was me and a few others who helped kickstart this whole thing in the first place.”
“So I’m happy but it’s kind of a bittersweet thing. But there’s nothing I can do about it. I can’t get back in the ring so would I dwell on it, you know?”
Paige is obviously loved by the WWE Universe and has plenty of fans who would love to see her wrestle again, but at this point, it doesn’t seem possible. But at least she’s keeping her head up as she presses on and remains supportive of those around her because she can’t do anything about her injury.
