As seen on Sky Bet, the official betting odds for SmackDown Live this week have been revealed.
The blue brand is gearing up for its 1000th episode, and with that comes a great deal of hype. Alas, while that may be their main focal point it seems as if this week’s episode will be directed more towards the upcoming Evolution and Crown Jewel events.
In terms of the betting odds that have been released Becky Lynch (4/7) is the favourite to retain her Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair (5/4), Samoa Joe (2/5) is tipped to beat Jeff Hardy (7/4) in his World Cup qualifier and Randy Orton (4/7) is expected to defeat the returning Big Show (5/4).
None of those will be all too surprising, but it’s interesting to see where all three matches lead in terms of furthering the respective stories. Orton seems to be on a collision course with the WWE Championship (and the World Cup could help to get him there), Becky is on fire right now (pun not intended) and we could easily see Jeff pulling off the upset against Joe.
SmackDown has been the better show in recent weeks and it doesn’t feel like that’s a ridiculous statement to make, especially when you compare it to Monday Night Raw.
Still, all we can hope for is that every single piece of WWE programming is entertaining enough to keep us watching on a weekly basis, and we’re excited to see what comes out of SD Live this week with SmackDown 1000 being right around the corner.
