Matt Hardy has seemingly retired from in-ring competition with WWE, but that doesn’t mean he will be stepping away from the WWE Universe. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the former RAW Tag Team Champion is in the process of filming a Hardy family Halloween special.
Ryan Satin confirms that the special has likely started production, as Hardy has taken to social media to showcase photos of his family and the Hardy compound. The shot with his family includes himself, Brother Nero (Jeff Hardy), Reby Hardy, Señor Benjamin, King Maxel, Lord Wolfgang, Vanguard 1, and the scribe used for the Hardy videos back in Impact Wrestling.
Back in a recent survey conducted by WWE, the company teased a number of shows fans would be interested in. One of these was appropriately titled ‘House Hardy: Halloween special’ and it now appears this project is moving forward- and will serve as a pilot for a potential series with the family down the line.
The premise for the show states the following:

“Go inside the WONDERFUL world of the Hardy family in this delightful short-form scripted sitcom, featuring Matt and Jeff Hardy!”

Additionally, Hardy has shared photos of WWE producers Jeremy Borash and James Long at the Hardy compound going over plans for the special. As many fans shall be able to recall, Borash and Long were the two main figures to help the Broken Universe back in Impact Wrestling, and both were signed by Triple H to aid WWE.

There is no release date or confirmation on this project seeing the light of day, but the expectation is that it will be revealed closer to Halloween and likely be available on the WWE Network. As more news becomes available, Ringside News will provide you with further details.
