Matt Hardy has entertained millions of fans throughout his pro wrestling career and we’ve all watched his journey with interest. He’s taken on many different personas as well, his latest being Woken Matt Hardy which appeared in WWE after a long legal battle with Anthem Sports who owned the rights for the longest time.
But Hardy recently announced that fans wouldn’t see him wrestle as Woken Matt again and he is going home to be with his wife and sons. It certainly seemed like a retirement to most.
It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while it is unlikely if Hardy’s treatment goes well we might see him wrestle again. Hardy wouldn’t say that he wrested his last match in Corpus Christi but “he felt like it probably would be.”
Hardy’s final match at this point was a triple threat tag match where he and Bray Wyatt teamed up to face Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler and the B-Team. After Bo Dallas took the pinfall in their match, they allowed Hardy to stay in the ring so he could share a moment with the fans.
