Brock Lesnar’s appearance at Hell In A Cell was soon followed by booking a triple threat match for Saudi Arabia’s Crown Jewel event on November 2nd. Now that Lesnar is apparently sticking around for at least one more match, it seems that the possibility is even greater than he signed on for even more appearances than we previously thought. After all, Heyman showed up on the Raw after SummerSlam and demanded a rematch for his client.
Mike Johnson said on PW Insider Elite’s audio update that he wouldn’t be surprised at all if WWE and Lesnar were playing the specifics about his new contract extension so close to the vest for a reason because they actually have way more appearances lined up for the Beast Incarnate.
“What does this mean for the future of WWE and Brock Lesnar? Well, obviously they’re all still in bed. I wouldn’t be shocked to learn that when Brock Lesnar signed his new deal with WWE in the wake of WrestleMania 34 that while everybody was assuming that he was finishing up at SummerSlam, the reality is that he probably signed a much larger long-form deal.”
“My guess is that Brock Lesnar will be appearing until WrestleMania 35 in some form. That doesn’t mean he’ll be appearing on a regular basis but he will pop for major shows and major angles. So if you thought we were past the age of Brock Lesnar apprently we’re not.”
Only time will tell what WWE and Brock Lesnar have cooked up, but we certainly saw something interesting at Hell In A Cell that we weren’t really expecting until reports broke that Lesnar was walking around backstage without trying to stay hidden.
Apparently, Lesnar might be seen backstage at WWE on a more frequent basis than we previously thought he would be at this time.
