As seen at Sunday’s WWE Hell in a Cell event, Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles’ match ended with a controversial finish. WWE did a backstage segment with Paige & Joe where a re-match was announced for the upcoming WWE Super Show-Down event, however the stipulation for the match was not revealed. Paige simply said that there must be a winner.
Mike Johnson discussed the rematch on today’s installment of PWInsider Elite Audio and speculated that the stipulation will be a ‘Last Man Standing match’ to determine the winner of the WWE Championship title.

“Great way to play into the idea that they are going to have a rematch at the Super Show-Down on October 6th in Australia and Joe is like there has to be a winner, there needs to be a winner. No DQ, no countout. I’m guessing they are going to have a Last Man Standing match and maybe that’s were Samoa Joe is going to win the title. If that does happen, I believe that’s the first time the WWE Championship changes hands in the first time in Australia.”

WWE is all about “first times”, so it wouldn’t surprise us if the title does change hands for the first time in Australia when the company heads there in October.
