Tyler Bate entered WWE a prodigy. Walking into the company, the British-born Superstar was victorious in the first-ever WWE UK Championship Tournament. This very event would lead to the recent creation of WWE NXT UK, which is expected to debut later this year on television.
While Bate is no longer the WWE UK Champion, he is a beloved member of the WWE Universe. The former NXT Tag Team Champion has had match of the year candidate bouts against British Strong Style brother Pete Dunne and teaming alongside Trent Seven against various tag teams including The Undisputed Era.
During an interview with Daily Star alongside Seven, Bate was asked to comment who he would like to face in the ring. This led to Bate quickly answering his choice would be the current WWE Champion in AJ Styles.

“I think I could have a good one with AJ.”

What is more notable is that this works towards a few notable comments Seven made recently in his own interview with the Daily Star. Seven believes Bate is a likely candidate for becoming the first-ever British WWE Champion.

“I think without a shadow of a doubt there will be [a British WWE Champion].
“I think you would have a pretty safe bet to say one of, or both of, Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne will be competing for the world championship.
“Just the quality they are putting out physically, their look and the way they present themselves. They are putting so much effort into every angle of it.
“The boys are superstars.”

Styles has officially held the WWE Championship for over 300 days as he readies himself for his bout against Samoa Joe at WWE Hell in a Cell. If Styles successfully manages to retain the Championship, Bate would have the opportunity to take on “The Phenomenal One” in a match for the ages.
Would you like to see Bate or another member of British Strong Style capture the WWE Championship? Would one of these men be an ideal choice for the first British WWE Champion? Let us know your thoughts, opinions, and reaction in the comments down below.
