Current Impact Wrestling Champion Signs Deal With Another Televised Promotion

Tessa Blanchard is the current Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion, but it looks like she’ll be appearing on television much more than just the Impact Zone from this point on. It’s rather interesting because Impact signed Blanchard to a long-term 3-year contract but apparently she’s allowed to work for other televised promotions as well.
F4Wonline reports that Blancard has signed to participate in the Woman Of Wrestling show on AXS TV next month. She will be challenging Santana Garrett for her WOW World Championship. Tessa has also been training at WOW’s Training Center in Southern California recently as well.
WOW will begin airing on AXS TV in early 2019, but they are getting the tapings done on October 10th and 11th.
This is a pretty big move for the new company and with New Japan’s success on the AXS TV channel, only time will tell if it will open to door for even more pro wrestling overall on many more channels. After all, we hear rumblings of new promotions trying to strike up television deals all the time nowadays it seems.
