WWE superstar Mickie James has posted an emotional reaction to the news that she will be facing Hall of Famer Lita at the upcoming WWE Evolution pay-per-view.
The event, which is scheduled to take place on October 28th in Uniondale, will be the first ever all-female WWE PPV. It’s likely no coincidence that the company are planning to return to Saudi Arabia within a week of the show, which will be another event in which the female superstars are not allowed to participate.
In terms of Evolution, though, it’s been announced that the aforementioned James will indeed square off against Lita once again, and she has some great views on the match-up.
The match she’s referencing took place at Survivor Series 2006, when Mickie defeated Lita to win the Women’s Championship – which served as her retirement match until her bout against Heath Slater at RAW 1000 back in July 2012.
Lita also came back for the first ever women’s Royal Rumble earlier this year, where she was criticised for a risky moonsault off the top rope that almost ended quite badly. Still, with the right preparation time, it seems like she’ll be more than capable of putting on a great match when she goes head to head with her old rival Mickie James.
The other announced match for the show is Alexa Bliss vs Trish Stratus, with several other contests being rumoured as we get closer and closer to what could prove to be one of the most important pay-per-views in recent history.
