Announced today by ESPN, the super fight between bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes and featherweight champion Cris “Cyborg” Justino has been set.
President Dana White confirmed today that both fighters have agreed to the terms and that the bout will take place at UFC 232 on December 29th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Cyborg’s featherweight title will be on the line. She’s already successfully defended against Holly Holm and Yana Kunitskaya, and will look to improve her already stellar record to 21-1. Nunes stands at 16-4, but is currently on a seven-fight win streak, including victories over Ronda Rousey, Valentina Shevchenko, and Raquel Pennington.
Justino and Nunes are currently the #1 and #2 ranked female fighters in the world.
