The Intercontinental Champion may be preparing for another clash with former title-holder Seth Rollins tomorrow in Brooklyn, but that doesn’t mean that his WWE future is set in stone.

Ziggler caught up with Mike Johnson from PW Insider following the WWE’s Be A Star Rally yesterday and was questioned about his current contract, which was originally set to expire this summer. Ziggler responded by admitting he had yet to sign anything.

I feel like you’ll have to see Sunday or Monday but I’ve also heard that [his deal was coming up.]  I’ve also heard about several different contracts that I signed but I didn’t sign.

Johnson pressed Dolph to clarify if he meant that as a no comment. Dolph fired back.

So…I’m giving you a comment.  I’ve been doing some great work and looking forward to doing what I do and Sunday or Monday, we’ll see what direction we’re heading in afterwards.

With no guarantee that Ziggler puts pen to paper, could this possibly effect the plans they had for Ziggler’s program as I.C. champion? Most likely not, but if he doesn’t sign it could potentially alter the long-term plans they’ve had for Dolph’s partner, Drew McIntyre.
