Khabib Nurmagomedov may train out of American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose and under the tutelage of Javier Mendes, but his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov – who has been his coach since his childhood – is the true brains behind the undefeated Dagestani fighter’s 26-0 record.
However, it has been well documented in the past that Khabib’s father hasn’t been present during some of his fights in the UFC due to Visa issues, and was also facing problems obtaining one for his upcoming fight at UFC 229 against Conor McGregor.
However, that problem has been solved – and in all likelihood by UFC president Dana White.
Khabib then took to Instagram to post a thank you message to White – who is a personal friend and vocal fan of Donald Trump – crediting him with getting the situation resolved.
Who says being in the good books of the POTUS is a bad thing?
