Former Divas Champion Confirms She’s Done With Pro Wrestling

Melina was a Superstar during her time and became Divas Champion in the process, but she’s putting those days behind her. Melina was recently on a Periscope session when someone asked her about facing Zelina Vega in a match.

Melina was open to the idea of facing Vega in a match, but then she dismissed it after writing a few scenarios in her head about how a match like that would turn out. She said that she’s done with professional wrestling at this point and isn’t coming back

“I’ve heard so many people say, ‘you’re old, you’re this,'” Melina continued. “It’s like, yeah, granted I may not move the way I used to. I may not be able to do some of the stuff I’ve done. Seriously, the way my mind works it’s like I’m not going to be as hard-hitting because my mind thinks, ‘what’s the point? I already proved what I needed to prove, what’s the point?'”

“You got me thinking but, I’m not coming back to wrestling guys,” Melina said. “No, stop making me think about this stuff, I don’t want to [return]. I’ve got happier stuff, you know? I accept that my time has come and gone, I’m secure with that. I’m cool with that.”

Only time will tell if she goes back on that after all, Evolution is right around the corner but maybe we’ll be seeing Melina make a return. But as of right now, it looks like she’s sticking to her guns and staying retired from the ring.
