Ring of Honor Hires Former WWE Tag Champion

Joey Mercury has signed with Ring of Honor but not as an active competitor for the roster.

According to PWInsider, ROH hired the former tag team champion to help train talents at their Dojo. Mercury will also server as a backstage producer for Ring of Honor events.

Mercury appeared for WWE on the March 14, 2016 episode of RAW when he was breaking up the brawl between Triple H and Roman Reigns. In January 2017, Mercury was released from WWE.
