Top WWE Rivals Eyeing For Big TV Deals?

WWE’s ground-breaking TV deals with FOX and USA for SmackDown and RAW respectively have been one of the bigger stories this year. The company will make a lot of profit thanks to these lucrative TV deals in the nearest future.

Dave Meltzer noted on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that the other big promotions might also eye for a big TV deal to compete with the WWE. Meltzer said that with these humongous deals, the promotions could book themselves like idiots and still take away the big pay-cheque.

Meltzer went on to say that house shows, social media followers, tickets, etc are all secondary and that the TV deals matter the most. He also said that the next big competitor for the WWE will be the next promotion to grab a lucrative TV deal, be it IMPACT, ROH, NJPW or MLW.
