It looks like there may be plans to move NXT Takeover events off the WWE Network and have them broadcasting on FS1 when FOX moves NXT shows to the station.
Joseph Peisech reported on the latest installment of the No Holds Barred podcast that there have been talks about moving NXT Takeover from the WWE Network starting in late 2019 after SmackDown moves to FOX.
“There has not been an announcement that NXT or anything else is going to be on FS1 but that has been guarantee to me. I actually talked to someone that has guarantee that they will be on FS1. In fact, NXT Takeovers will be moving from the WWE Network to FS1 starting in late 2019.”
WWE has not made any announcement or indicated that NXT would be moving off the Network. They did however broadcast an episode of NXT on the USA Network last year as a way to test the waters to see how the show would do on an actual television station. WWE is in the business of making money so it wouldn’t be surprising to see both NXT and Takeovers moved off The Network if a lucrative offer was made to the company.
