Charlotte Flair is one of the most athletic and well-rounded female wrestlers on WWE’s main roster. Throughout her career, Flair has become one of the most prominent women in WWE history. Not only is she a multi-time Champion and the daughter of all-time great Ric Flair, but she also ended the undefeated streak of 2018 Royal Rumble winner Asuka at WrestleMania 34.
One of the other competitors within the Royal Rumble that Asuka eventually won was former Divas Champion, Michelle McCool. McCool had a number of runs with both the Women’s and the Divas Championships throughout her career- usually linked to Layla in some way.
Conversation in regards to a potential match between Flair and McCool picked up after a fan on Twitter requested the match. Responding to an article written about the possible all-women’s show WWE is rumored to be creating, the fan said they would be disappointed if the two aforementioned women do not compete against one another.
This ultimately led to McCool herself responding, tagging the official WWE Twitter handle- insinuating her interest in potentially working with Flair in the company.
Back in November, Wrestling News reports that Flair tossed out the idea for a match between the two herself. This actually led to McCool claiming she was dying for someone to ask and the feeling is mutual.
