Charlotte Flair made her main roster debut in 2015, quickly defeating Nikki Bella to capture the Divas Championship. She would hold this Championship until WrestleMania 32 when the company rebranded the Divas as Superstars- the same name given to the men. She was victorious in the bout to determine the first-ever RAW Women’s Champion.
Since her call-up, Flair has won the RAW Women’s Championship four times, the SmackDown Women’s Championship and Divas Championships once each. Many consider her to be one of the best female wrestlers in the world.
ESPN recently partnered up with Flair. Here, the Superstar would become the first wrestler to make their way into the body issue. On the heels of that, Bleacher Report interviewed the former Champion during her time off to rehabilitate from her injury.
Having accomplished so much, Flair was asked what it would take for the women to main event a WrestleMania- something that has never been done before. Flair had an interesting response.
“I want to main-event WrestleMania. For the women to main-event, all I think it’s going to take is the right storyline.”
Many expect Flair to face off against Ronda Rousey and potentially Asuka in the main event of WrestleMania 35. According to multiple rumors we’ve seen since the conclusion of WrestleMania 34, that could be the plan. However, plans do change and that idea is to be taken with a grain of salt.
Flair has been part of WrestleMania 32, 33 and 34. During each of these shows, Flair entered and left as Champion at WrestleMania 32 and 34. Bayley was the RAW Women’s Champion going into WrestleMania 33, leaving with the title.
