“The Big Red Machine” Kane returned to WWE television this week, helping former ally Daniel Bryan to fend off the Bludgeon Brothers. After the two appeared to reunite as Team Hell No!, SmackDown Live general manager Paige announced that the two teams will face off at Extreme Rules.
We aren’t yet positive who will leave Extreme Rules as Champion, or whether the alliance between Bryan and Kane will last. If Team Hell No! is successful at the pay-per-view and obtain the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship, it will make company history.
As GiveMeSport revealed, a victory here for Kane would mean he is the first man to have held the World, WCW, WWE/RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
In addition to this, it would mark his thirteenth reign as Tag Team Champion under the WWE umbrella. This is just one below Edge, who has fourteen.
In fact, as it stands, Kane holds the record of having the most title reigns with the most amount of partners, at seven teammates. This includes Bryan, The Undertaker, X-Pac, The Big Show, Mankind and Rob Van Dam.
Can Kane create history in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and capture his thirteenth Tag Team Championship? Will Bludgeon Brothers emerge with the victory? Sound off in the comments below.
