Possible Spoiler on WWE Universal Title Plans

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the original plan is for Rom Reigns to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship title at SummerSlam.

Meltzer speculated that Reigns could end up beating Lesnar after all his failures, however WWE may have Stromwan cash in his Money in the Bank contract immediately at the show and leave SummerSlam as Champion.

If the plan is for Reigns to challenge Lesnar at SummerSlam, that would indicate that Reigns will win the Extreme Rules #1 contender match next month.
