WWE Unhappy with New Japan Invading US Territory

During the latest installment of PWInsider Elite Audio, a reader wrote in and asked if WWE is pissed off about New Japan putting on shows in North America.

Johnson explained how WWE is upset if any independent show in the US draws 1,000 people and WWE may try to counter program New Japan if they continue to run more shows in the United States.

“WWE is pissed when an independent draws 1,000 people. They want to have the whole pie. They’re a competitive company. They want what is best for them and what’s best for them is people spending money on them. I do believe that they will try to counter program especially if New Japan actually takes off beyond just a show or two a year.”
