WWE Could Have Given Away Universal Championship Plans

Roman Reigns is still WWE’s top guy and WWE really wants fans to agree. This week during Raw Reigns teamed with Seth Rollins to take on Jinder Mahal and Elias in a match that saw the babyfaces get a strong reaction.

But Dave Meltzer noted during Wrestling Observer Radio how the commentary during the match was pointing one direction for Roman Reigns.

“By the way, I should mention in the commentary during the tag match they made it very clear that Roman Reigns is the guy who’s going to be wrestling Lesnar. I mean it was on and on and on about how he got cheated at the Greatest Royal Rumble, how he’s going for the championship, so it doesn’t look like it’s Strowman. I mean they could change their mind but they were pretty strong on commentary on you know that’s the big program.”

It looks like Roman Reigns could be getting booed once again at SummerSlam if he goes for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title in New York City. But only time will tell how WWE books things in case they change their minds again.
