WWE Edits Out Footage of The Trophy Being Destroyed on RAW

As previously reported, the incident on RAW this past week that saw Drew McIntyre crashing onto the floor at the hands of Braun Strowman, resulting in The Greatest Royal Rumble Trophy being destroyed was not scripted.

In an update, Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there were some high ranking individuals who did not want anyone from Saudi Arabia to see the footage so WWE made sure it was completely edited out of any footage that would air in that country later in the week.

“Evidently this was a serious offense because they went out of their way to edit it off subsequent airings and YouTube footage that could reach Saudi Arabia.”
