The A-lister continues to make waves in the headlines this week. Just yesterday we covered Miz’s comments on how he believes he’s at the top of his game, and how he plans on taking full advantage of his momentum to catapult himself to the top of the card. (He’s already earned a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match happening in Chicago.) Now, in a sit-down interview with Sports Illustrated, the former Intercontinental Champion expresses his dislike with the current WWE Champion, A.J. Styles, and the direction the once prestigious title is headed. That is, he hates that it’s not going on last at every PPV. Don’t worry though, the Miz does have a plan on how he hopes to restore its legacy.
My goal is to make the WWE championship as relevant and prestigious as it should be. Do I think AJ Styles is doing a terrific job as WWE champion? Absolutely.
But that WWE championship should be in the main event of every single WWE pay per view. It upsets me when I see that it is not.
My goal is to not only win the Money in the Bank contract, cash it in and become WWE champion. I want to put that title back where it belongs: the main event.
Seth Rollins assured us that Miz’s record breaking I.C. title victory won’t be coming anytime soon. That means the only thing he’s focused on now is the main event. Considering how great Miz is at taking advantage of situations, will anyone be able to stop him?
