As previously reported, there very good chance that Carmella will be retaining her newly won SmackDown Women’s Championship title at tonight WWE Backlash event in her match against Charlotte Flair.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider mentioned that it’s too early for the championship to be switched back and he doesn’t see her dropping the title just yet, especially with the way WWE has been presenting her on television.

The same rule could be applied here for Jeff Hardy, according to Johnson. The belief is that with the recent push Hardy has been receiving on television, that the company most-likely won’t have him drop the title to Randy Orton this early in the game. This match could potentially see outside interference by Jinder Mahal, who has been involved in the US Championship title picture as of late.
