Why Impact Wrestling Title Has Been Switched Up Recently

Austin Aries was the Impact World Champion until he walked into Redemption and lost his title to Penta O M in a triple threat match which also included Fenix.

But Penta’s title reign didn’t last long at all because he ended up dropping the title a couple short days later when Impact Wrestling filmed their next set of television shows.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted this quick back-and-forth title change was simply to create a surprise and that seems to be it. After all, Austin Aries ended up with his title back by the end of the week anyway.
