Wrestlemania is right around the corner, and the card is stacked as heck. Shinsuke Nakamura takes on AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. Charlotte Flair faces Asuka for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Elsewhere on the card, Mustafa Ali will fight Cedric Alexander for the vacant WWE Cruiserweight Championship. That’s not even the half of it.

With such an overloaded card, some matches will get overlooked. Maybe they don’t seem appealing. It’s a shame that some people feel that way, because there are some matches that look really good. These matches may even steal the show.

bobby roode v. jinder mahal v. randy orton

On paper, this seems like a real dud of a match. Mahal is kind of boring, and both Roode and Orton are rather methodical workers. Many people would assume that this match would never get out of first gear. Others are also wondering why on earth Jinder Mahal is in a title match at Wrestlemania.

While these are all valid worries, both Roode and Orton have showed that they can speed it up when needed. Their match together at Fastlane was actually quite good, so I’m not worried about them. That just leaves the wildcard, Jinder Mahal.

Many people absolutely despised Orton’s matches with Mahal, but I felt that they were quite alright. The two have solid chemistry. Questionable booking decisions (i.e, having the same match on two PPVs in a row and then having Great Khali interfere in the third) may have marred their matches, but wrestling-wise, they were alright.

If Mahal’s involvement is toned down a bit and Roode and Orton control most of the match, then it could be awesome.

sheamus & cesaro v. braun strowman & mystery partner

Speculating Strowman’s partner is only half the fun right now. Could it be Elias? Bobby Lashley? Maybe even someone else a bit “out there” like Big Cass or something. No one really knows for sure, and that’s what’s so fun.

Strowman may not be the best wrestler ever, but he’ll be in the ring with Sheamus and Cesaro, and those two are masters of their craft. They’ll be able to guide Strowman to a good match at Wrestlemania, Think of all the crazy possibilities this match could have. Cesaro trying to get Strowman up for the swing. Sheamus attempting a Brogue Kick and then having it bounce off Strowman’s bulletproof chest. Things like that.

If the mystery partner is someone who is able to hide Strowman’s deficiencies, then this could be a real barn-burner of a match.

roman reigns v. brock lesnar

It’s weird to say that the main event of Wrestlemania is low-key, but that’s how it is. A lot of people probably won’t give this match a chance because they don’t like Roman Reigns. There’s nothing to say that hasn’t already been said about the guy.

If it’s not because of Reigns, then it’s because of Lesnar. People have soured on the guy, which is a shame because he’s a once in a lifetime athlete. Bad booking has ruined the Beast.

We’ve seen this match before, and it wasn’t half bad. It was one of the most physical matches in recent history. These two men beat the hell out of each other.

These two men could probably top their Wrestlemania 31 match, and if they do, then it will be a blast.

finn balor v. seth rollins v. the miz

Miz is defending his Intercontinental Championship against two of the best workers on Raw’s roster right now. It’s hard to imagine the Miz having Match of the Night, but it’s happened before. No Mercy 2016, for example. And Extreme Rules 2016 as well. It happens.

Miz shines against people he can feed off. Let Balor and Rollins fight it out. I’m not saying to keep Miz out of the match. He shines as well in matches like this. Think again of Extreme Rules 2016. He had his shining moments as well.

Balor and Rollins are both super talented workers. Balor put on an Iron Man performance at the Royal Rumble, and Rollins lasted 60 minutes in a Gauntlet match on Raw. They’ve showed their stuff before, and it was great.

This match already happened, and it was excellent. The three will want to up the ante for Wrestlemania, so this match could be super-duper awesome.
