Reason Behind Recent NXT Terminations

It was reported yesterday WWE release both Abby Laith and Sage Beckett from their contracts with the company. At the time of press, no explanation was given to as why they were released but we can now provide some insight behind their terminations.

According to PWInsider, the reason they were both released from the company was just a case of talent being cut and there was no heat on them. The belief is the developmental system has too much talent right now and there are so many others knocking at the door that have something to offer the company.

WWE now feels that they are in the position that if a talent isn’t showing any upward mobility for a period of time, they will be released. That was the case here with Laith & Beckett’s releases.
