It was reported over the weekend that Bobby Fish sustained a knee injury at Sunday’s NXT Live Event in Indianapolis, Indiana.

While Fish was teaming with O’Reilly against Heavy Machinery in an NXT Tag Team Championship Match, referee Drake Wuertz threw up the “x” signal after Fish rolled out of the ring. After Fish was attended to by medical personal, he was assisted to the backstage area.

Bryan Alvarez discussed the injury of today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live and mentioned that Fish is scheduled to undergo an MRI soon. The belief is that if Fish’s injury is serious and if he’s going to be out of action for significant amount of time, the winner of the Dusty Rhodes Classic will be crowned the new NXT Tag Team Champions at the NXT Takeover: New Orleans event.
