Reason WWE Aired Ronda Rousey Training Package on RAW

As seen on Monday’s episode of RAW, WWE aired footage of Ronda Rousey training for her WWE arrival, which you can see below.

Dave Meltzer discussed this training package on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio and indicated that there could be resentment from the fans and they aired this package to try to help give fans a reason to get behind her more. The belief is that nothing makes you like someone more by watching them train their asses off.

“They know there is a resentment or there appears to be a resentment. You never know how strong it is until you really see it until she comes out. We will see on Sunday. It’s a hardcore fan group in Vegas. Maybe Vegas will be a good city for her, who knows. You don’t know, you really don’t know what’s going to happen or how people are going to react. I can see with this footage they were really trying to make sure she didn’t get booed as much as they can. There is nothing that makes you like someone in theory than watching them train their ass off at your thing.”
