It was announced earlier this week that WWE plans to debut a General Manger for the 205 Live brand next week and the Cruiserweight Championship title will be addressed.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the company has been discussing the idea of having a General Manager for the brand for months now. At one point they were considering having former WWE Superstar Summer Rae in that position prior to her release. They ultimately passed on her because she was taller than most of the guys in the division and it wouldn’t look good on camera.
Bryan Alvarez mentioned on Wrestling Observer Live that he was told that the position will be filled by a former WWE Superstar that we haven’t heard from in a long time. Alvarez didn’t elaborate any further details but this would eliminate a lot of names that people are speculating on who it could be.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything new regarding the 205 Live General Manager.
