Daniel Bryan’s Medical Status & Royal Rumble Speculation

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Daniel Bryan still has not been cleared by WWE to return to action and it doesn’t appear that his status will change this week.

As of this writing, Bryan is one of the top favorites in the betting odds to win Sunday’s Royal Rumble match. There has been speculation he could be involved in the match but not take a bump and somehow win. The feeling is if he’s not medically cleared, he wouldn’t be able to go onto face AJ Styles and if WWE booked the match that way, it could devalue to the purpose of The Rumble winner.
