Is Roman Reigns Being Punished for Recent Accusations?

As seen on Monday’s episode of RAW, Roman Reigns lost the WWE Intercontinental Championship title to The Miz after the Miz pinned him in the middle of the ring.

Dave Meltzer discussed The Miz’s victory on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio and confirmed that Roman is not being punished for the recent steroid accusations that surfaced online last week. Meltzer said that the plan as of Monday was still for Brock Lesnar to defend the WWE Universal Championship title against Reigns at this year’s WrestleMania event and the company needed to get the title off of him.

Meltzer also mentioned that the company is pushing The Miz right now. As previoiusly noted the plan has always been for Miz to win it back after dropping it before leaving to film the next installment of The Marine films.
