Backstage Update on Kevin Owens Injury & Status for The Royal Rumble

Kevin Owens was off WWE Live Events again this past weekend due to an injury.

According to PWInsider, the injury is said to be a back issue of sorts. We reported earlier last week that this issue appears to be one that Owens is dealing with for a while and it comes and goes. The injury is said to not be serious enough to take time off to have it fixed.

Owens is expected to return to action at Sunday’s Royal Rumble event where he will be teaming with Sami Zayn to take on WWE Champion AJ Styles in a handicap match.
