Sasha Banks recently spoke with talksport.com. Here are some highlights from the interview:
This year’s event returns to New Orleans, where you experienced your first WrestleMania as part of Triple H’s entrance. What do you remember about that night.
“I remember getting the call to do that entrance and I was so incredibly nervous and excited. But when I was out there with Triple H and I stood on that stage, I looked out and I was like this is incredible and I’m going to have my entrance one day. Then I had it two years later and it’s so crazy to see how fast things happen here. But to come back to that actual arena, from being just an extra for Triple H to hopefully being in the mix for the women’s championship it would be an incredible come around.
I’ve always wanted that singles match at WrestleMania to show what I can do. I’ve the opportunity to have a three-way and a four-way, but now I really want to have that singles match at WrestleMania.”
If you were to have that singles match, be it this year or at future WrestleMania’s would it be with Bayley? Only we’re yet to see that rivalry on the main roster, despite it being one of NXT’s greatest ever feuds.
“Over the past year I’ve been told if I was going to be heel or face and we kept going back and fourth on it. But that rivalry with Bayley is something I’d love to pick right back up because she actually has my number, which pisses me off because in my heart I know I’m the greatest women’s wrestler ever. It’s about showing her and the world that I’m the best and it would be great to pick up that rivalry again with her. I’m in no rush; I plan to be with WWE for a very long time so we can tell that story anytime. Sasha Banks is all about being me and it’s not arrogance it’s confidence, I am the very best at what I do.”
