Former WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio Debuting at Impact Tapings This Week?

During the mailbag segment of today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about Mike Johnson’s report on PWElite if there were any truth to the rumors of Impact Wrestling wanting to bring in former WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio to this week’s set of Impact television tapings.

Meltzer confirmed that the dialogue between Mysterio and Impact is open but the last he heard is that he probably won’t be brought in for the next set of tapings. Meltzer explained that the company is definitely trying hard to bring Rey in for the tapings. However, as a few days ago a deal was not in place for that to happen.

Impact’s next set of tapings kicks off on January 10th in Orlando and they will be running events through January 15th. We will keep you informed if we hear anything regarding Mysterio and Impact Wrestling.
