X-Pac opens today’s show speaking about the seminars he conducted over the weekend. He did two different classes, one for beginners and one for more advanced students. He says he had a great time working with the next generation of Superstars and he credits the quality of the wrestling school which is ran by Ken Anderson and Molly Holly.
He mentions that he was sad to hear about WWE releasing Emma, Darren Young and Summer Rae. Young and Rae haven’t been on WWE television as of late but Young was a part of one of WWE’s charitable events as recently as last week. Emma was also a part of one of WWE’s biggest storylines as of late so her release was a big shock.
Speaking of Emma’s release, X-Pac was shocked to see Lio Rush’s joke on Twitter, making light of Emma’s departure from the company. He says that while this was a terrible mistake, people really piled on Rush and he thought that was unfortunate. X-Pac was one of the first individuals who tweeted back at Rush, saying how dissapointed he was in Rush’s ‘joke’, but he thought things really got blown out of proportion after that.
There’s a lot of people online demanding for Rush’s release from the company over this but X-Pac thinks that’s ridiculous. Rush has apologized and he’s definitely been spoken to about this by the company, so that should be the end of it in X-Pac’s opinion. He thinks the notion that WWE is going to fire Rush over this tweet is ridiculous.
X-Pac assumes we’ll see Summer Rae appear at an occasional wrestling convention, but she’s more than likely heading to Hollywood at this point. He was a big fan of the work that Summer Rae did with Fandango and he’s sorry to see her go. He also points out that if Emma was about to be released, Asuka should have squashed her like a bug at TLC.
X-Pac comments on Triple H’s return to the ring on WWE’s current overseas tour. He points out that when a performer can’t make certain shows due to illness or a variety of other reasons, WWE’s policy is to replace that talent with a talent of equal or higher status. This is why Triple H has replaced Roman Reigns on the recent overseas tour, and Angle replaced Reigns at TLC.
Apparently Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet, former TNA Superstar Rockstar Spud may be on his way to 205Live. X-Pac thinks that would be a mutually beneficial partnership and he thinks Spud can really help that brand. He might be the one guy who could challenge Enzo Amore on the mic as well.
There have been rumours circulating that Hideo Itami is on his way to 205Live as well, and X-Pac hopes that Itami can finally showcase his real talent on 205Live. He’s been a big fan of Itami for many years, and he thinks it’d be a real shame if Itami failed to captivate the North American audience. He admits that Itami’s injury was quite devastating, and it can be very hard to return from.
X-Pac comments on the fact that Chris Jericho has booked The Young Bucks for his ‘Rock N Wrestling’ Cruise. He doubts that Jericho is worried about getting heat from WWE about this because he’s in a pretty comfortable back-and-forth relationship with WWE. People might point out that Jimmy Jacobs was fired from WWE for taking a selfie with The Young Bucks, but X-Pac mentions that Jericho is simply at a different level in that company than Jacobs was.
That sums up today’s episode of X-Pac 1, 2, 360. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
